9.5 Athlete FAQ
Can scouts see my email or phone number?
Only if you're 18 or older and you turn on the toggle in Settings → Permissions. Both toggles are off by default. Under-18 athletes never have contact info displayed.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Go to Settings → Account → Danger Zone and follow the prompts. This permanently deletes your profile and all associated data.
What if I'm under 13?
A parent or guardian must create your profile on your behalf. Once you turn 13, you can claim the profile with a code from your parent.
Can I change my date of birth?
No. Your date of birth is set during signup and cannot be changed afterward. This protects the age-based privacy rules that determine what information is visible on your profile.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Arenalinq is COPPA-compliant for users under 13, and you control who sees your profile through visibility settings. Your data is stored securely and is never sold.
What's the difference between my login email and my public card email?
Your login email is the address you use to sign in (via the OTP code). The "Show my email on my public card" toggle in Settings controls whether that email is displayed on your public profile — it's a separate, opt-in choice.
Can my parent still see my profile after I claim it?
Yes, but in read-only mode. After you claim your profile, your parent can still view it but can no longer make edits.
